From world-famous auctions, like Mecum, to weekly car cruises, Kissimmee is home to a unique (and unexpected!) classic car culture. With a growing calendar of car auctions, shows and events, the destination offers unique experiences for auto connoisseurs and, of course, those eager to share impressive car content on their social channels.
The Mecum Kissimmee 2023 will have its usual impressive lineup. For instance, a 1959 Porsche 718 RSK Center Seat, a 1936 Bugatti Type 57 and a 1965 Shelby 289 Cobra Roadster will headline The Rick Grant III Estate Collection. The impressive lineup also includes a variety of other well-preserved classic sports cars from Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Austin-Healey, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Jaguar, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, MG and others.
Ongoing automotive events in Kissimmee include:
Old Town Car Shows & Cruises: Reminiscent of a classic Florida town, Old Town Kissimmee boasts historic architecture, distinctive storefronts and weekly car shows. Its appreciation for timeless cars starts mid-week with the Wednesday Night Themed Car Show, featuring a rotating selection of vintage vehicles ranging from classic Fords to Jeeps and trucks. Each weekend, the Friday Muscle Car Show & Cruise spotlights muscle and performance cars produced from 1964 and newer and classics from 1983 and older. For the vintage at heart, there is the Saturday Classic Car Show & Cruise, a local tradition for more than 30 years, that welcomes show-quality 1985 and older hotrods, street rods and antiques.
Promenade at Sunset Walk Car & Truck Shows: Offering a weekly schedule of special events, the Promenade at Sunset Walk entertainment district has quickly become a hotspot for car enthusiasts. Vehicles from all eras, makes and models are regularly on display during Show Car Saturday Nights, held Saturdays from 4-8 p.m., and during The Promenade Car and Truck Show, held on the second Sunday of every month from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
