City, county, utility offices to close Friday, Monday to observe Christmas

In general, municipal and utility offices will be closed Friday and Monday to observe Christmas Eve and Day.

Those include Osceola County Administration and the Courthouse and the Cities of Kissimmee and St. Cloud.

Regular curbside garbage and recycling service for residents of unincorporated Osceola County will run as scheduled on the 23rd and 26th, and the Solid Waste transfer station will be open from 7 a.m. to noon those days.

This from the City of Kissimmee: "For the disposal of natural Christmas trees, residents should cut up their trees and place in the yard waste container, which is collected at no additional charge. If they are unable to do so, the tree should be placed by the road for bulk pick up, which does incur a fee."

Also, expect that many of these offices will be closed on Jan. 2 to observe New Year's Day. As we'll update this list for this weekend, we'll update the Jan. 2 list as well.
