On Dec. 7, Sheriff's deputies responded to the 7/11 gas station located at 4748 U.S. Highway 192 in Kissimmee, just east of Vineland Road, in reference to a suspicious incident. The victim, an elderly male said that at 6:50 p.m. an unknown white male suspect, 40-50 years old, assisted him with filling his vehicle with gas. Soon after helping the victim, the suspect advised him he was a police officer, told the victim that he looked too tired to drive, and directed him to park in one of the parking spots in front of the store. Soon after, the suspect's vehicle began to flash what the victim believed to be patrol lights.
The suspect accused the victim of wearing stolen jewelry and threatened him with arrest if he did not turn the jewelry over to him. Once obtained, the suspect took a photo of the victim's driver's license and advised he would return the jewelry to him within an hour if it was not stolen, which he never did. Video surveillance was observed of the incident, which depicts the suspect as a white male with a black button-up shirt and dark-colored pants driving a black pickup truck, which appeared to have white and yellow flashing lights on the grill.
