Sheriff’s Office identifies victim in last week's St. Cloud homicide investigation

    The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim of a homicide it began investigating last Wednesday.

    The victim is identified the victim as Alexis Vargas-Algarin, 30.

    On Wednesday, deputies responded to an address on Henry J Avenue near Deer Run Road, referencing an unknown problem. When deputies arrived on the scene, they reported discovering a deceased adult male. Violent Crimes detectives responded, along with the Medical Examiner’s Office of 9th District, who declared the death a homicide. 

     

    In 2015, when Vargas-Algarin lived in Kissimmee, court records show an arrest for felony drug possession. A 2018 speeding ticket showed he lived in Orlando at the time.
