The International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) is pleased to announce that the Osceola County Property Appraiser Office, led by Katrina Scarborough, has re-certified their Certificate of Excellence in Assessment Administration. The Osceola County Property Appraiser Office first earned the certificate in 2010, and this required re-certification is a demonstration of it continued commitment to best practices.
“I am so proud of my office for their efforts in our second re-certification award in the Certificate of Excellence in Assessment Administration for 2022,” Scarborough said. “We are one of four jurisdictions nationwide to receive the CEAA and re-certify twice. We will continue to adhere to the Assessment Administration’s accepted standards and best practices through excellent customer service and full transparency. Our mission is to ensure the fair and equitable assessment of properties within our county while applying the guidelines set forth by the Department of Revenue.”
IAAO’s Certificate of Excellence in Assessment Administration recognizes governmental units that adhere to accepted standards and integrate best practices in the workplace. This challenging and rigorous program is a self-conducted, peer reviewed evaluation of adherence to specific, accepted assessment administration and appraisal standards. This re-certification was presented during a ceremony at IAAO’ annual International Conference on Assessment Administration in Boston on Aug 30.
