Summertime, and livin’ is busy in the Cloud!

St. Cloud Fire Rescue will hold a Cadet Program Orientation Meeting on Aug. 22 at 6 p.m. at the Police Training Building (3371 Cord Ave.). This youth-based educational program is designed as an introduction into a career into the fire and emergency medical services (EMS). Cadets will participate in local fire competitions against other departments, assist the fore department and attend training events and meetings. 

The Cadet Program is open for those 14-21 years old who are interested in pursuing a career with the Fire Service. Youth under 18 must bring a parent/guardian to the orientation  The orientation will explain what the program is, distribute all needed forms and answer questions. 

Cadets participate in local fire competitions against other departments, assist the fire department and attend training events and meetings. For more information, contact Chief Tonks at 407-957-8484.

 

Lawyers in the Library: Estate Planning will be on Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 6 p.m. at the St. Cloud Veterans Library. Now is the time to make sure you have all your affairs in order. Learn the basics of estate planning with Florida Attorney C.D. Lewis, Jr. of Lewis and Massy P.A  This free program will be presented in the Fisk Room on the second floor. 

 

The City of St. Cloud will hold a Home School Open House on Friday Aug. 12 from 1-3 p.m. at the Chris Lyle Aquatic Center (2991 17th St.)

The Ranch at St. Cloud (5452 Jones Rd.), will host a Wedding Expo and Open House Event on Aug. 14 from 1-4 p.m.

St. Cloud Main Street will hold its 2022 Annual Membership Meeting on Aug. 22 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Phyre Brewery and Tavern, 918 New York Ave., St. Cloud will close to the public for this ticketed event.  The program for the evening is dinner, election of officers and award ceremony.
