The Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) Lifestyle Department presents its Back-to-School Bash on Friday from 6- 9 p.m. at the Poinciana Community Center (445 Marigold Ave.)
This fun, free family event includes a Laser and Bubble Show. There will be backpack giveaways (300 backpacks, child must be present, while supplies last), bounce houses, food trucks, a DJ dance party, vendors and more. Don’t forget to stop by the Kids Zone for games, face painting, craft table and balloon artists. Vendor spaces may still be available. For vendor information, go to https://bit.ly/3IMsMiB.
The Polk County Bookmobile will also be at the “Bash”. Poinciana families will have the opportunity to sign-up for a library card and checkout books and movies.
Back to school Open Houses for all Osceola County Schools will be on the following dates: Friday, Aug. 5 — high schools (including Osceola County School for the Arts), 4-7 p.m.; Monday, Aug. 8 – all middle schools and K-8 schools from 4-7 p.m.; Tuesday Aug. 9 – all elementary schools from 3- 6 p.m. As a reminder, Students in Osceola County will begin classes on Wednesday, Aug. 10.
