Sheriff: Sex offender exposed himself to children at Poinciana school playground

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reported arresting a man last week, already on probation for attempting kidnapping, who reportedly exposed himself to children at a Poinciana school.

On May 16, Deputies arrested Luis Davila-Quinones, 49, and charged him with lewd and lascivious exhibition and violation of probation.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, a school resource officer at Bellalago Academy was notified on May 12 that several children at recess observed an unknown subject exposing his genitals to them while they were on the playground. Detectives with the Special Victims Unit responded to the scene and began an investigation. They were able to identify the suspect as Davila-Quinones, a registered sex offender.

In an interview, Davila-Quinones admitted exposing himself in view of the children while on a tractor mowing a nearby grass lot next to the school.

He was arrested and taken to the Osceola County Jail; court records show he is being held on $40,000 bond on the lewd and lascivious exhibition charges.

He’s also held on no bond for violating probation for a 2017 charge, where police allege Davila-Quinones attempted to kidnap a ten-year-old female outside of the Walmart Store on Cypress Parkway in Poinciana. In that case he was sentenced to 16 months in jail and 10 years of community control.
