It’s a busy time at the Poinciana Library, with plenty of events happening this weekend!
On Saturday, children can explore the five senses with a Sensory Play date from 10 a.m. to noon. Activities will benefit all children but are of particular help to those on the Autism spectrum or those with sensory integration challenges.
You could be a poet and not even know it. Share your original poems, favorite quotes or lyrics on the Poinciana Library’s Community Poet Tree. Adults can contribute to the Tree the entire month of April starting Friday.
Read Box for Teens will be available April 1-15. The Read Box is a personalized package for teens filled with activities, treats and fun prizes for teens. Fill out your personalized questionnaire at https:// bit.ly/3LnKBEX by the 15th, submit it and you will receive an email to go to the Library in early May to pick up your box. Books must be checked out to your own account and will need to be returned by the due date — all the extra goodies are yours to keep.
Spice up your life by exploring traditional and exotic flavors with the Spice of the Month Club. Pick up a sample at the beginning of each month while supplies last. You can share your recipe with us at https://osceolalibrary. librariesshare.com/ osceolacusine/. This month’s spice is curry powder.
The Poinciana Library is located at 101 N. Doverplum Ave. All Library events are free and open to the public.
And finally, here’s a sure sign that summer is on the way: as of Friday, April 1, both the Victory Pool and the pool at the Mary Jane Aquatic Center will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Get your passes and splash on!
