Seven Osceola County football players, based on the 2021 season, earned a nod to the FloridaHSFootball.com All-State team. It was compiled from a list of nominations from state coaches, player stats, MaxPreps rankings, team's strength of schedule and all-area selections from media.
The two lone seniors signed college grants during the December early signing period. Osceola's Chad Mascoe, the Class 8A third-team quarterback, is headed to Campbell University, and Jeremiah Wilson, an honorable mention at cornerback, signed with Syracuse.
The rest are juniors. Defensive back Bo Mascoe was the lone First Team nominee in Class 8A. Mascoe led the county with seven interceptions and added 41 tackles and 11 deflected passes.
Kowboys defensive linemen John Walker (13 sacks, 77 tackles, 17 tackles for loss) and Derrick Leblanc (8 sacks, 38 tackles, 12 TFLs) were named to the 8A second and third team.
A pair of prolific running backs also made the Third Team. Celebration's Oniel Senatus, who rushed for 1,816 yards, caught for 317 more, scored 27 touchdowns, also added 51 tackles on defense as he rarely left the field. Harmony's Tyler Emans earned a spot on the Class 7A team, rushing for 1,367 yards and 24 touchdowns in just nine games.
