The Lifeboat Project: Human trafficking "Lunch and Learn" a success

It was almost standing room only at the “Stop Human Trafficking” lunch and learn held at Kissimmee Bay Country Club on Feb. 16. The event was a collaboration among The Lifeboat Project, Osceola News-Gazette, and the St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce. The Lifeboat Project founder and CEO Jill Bolander Cohen recently expanded its footprint into Osceola County with the mission of bringing awareness and training on what human trafficking is, and its impact on the lives of everyone affected.

For 10 years, the Lifeboat Project has been providing recovery services, awareness, and education to end human trafficking in Central Florida. Florida is among the three worst states for human trafficking. To learn more about The Lifeboat Project, their mission and how you can help; visit thelifeboatproject. org.
