The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public's help in finding a 15-year-old girl who it says ran away from home and has been missing since Sept. 17.

News Service of Florida — About $2.126 billion in estimated insured losses had been reported as of Wednesday from Hurricane Milton, which made landfall Oct. 9 in Sarasota County and caused widespread damage in the state.

New walk-in orthopedic clinic opens in St. Cloud

The Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute has opened a new walk-in clinic adjacent to St. Cloud to provide sports medicine and orthopedic care without an appointment.The location is at 1600 Budinger Ave., Suite C, adjacent to St. Cloud Hospital.

Toho Water Authority is again flushing water lines for quality and clarity on the east side of town after Hurricane Milton threatened to do the work on its own.The work, starting Monday, will be in an area along Hickory Tree Road just south of Nolte Road.

News Service of Florida — Florida’s unemployment rate held for a sixth consecutive month, but a key state economist said Friday “it’s still too soon to tell” how a trio of hurricanes could affect the state’s jobless figures.

Osceola County has broken ground on its 18th fire station, to be located west of Kissimmee.Osceola County Fire Rescue & EMS held the groundbreaking ceremony for Fire Station 75 on Wednesday. The station will be located at 7701 Funie Steed Road, just south of U.S. Highway 192, west of Interstate 4.
