BOO on Broadway — A start to the "spooky season"

Friday night was a great night to start the “Spooky season” of Halloween in downtown Kissimmee at the annual BOO! On Broadway. Put on by Kissimmee Main Street, the block party attracted thousands of festive Trick-or-Treaters in costume, and the downtown merchants obliged with candy galore.

Suspect in August smoke shop shooting caught in Puerto Rico

A man police say shot another man in the back of the head outside a Kissimmee smoke shop in August is in the Osceola County Jail after he fled, then was extradited from, Puerto Rico.

Kissimmee Police Chief Betty Holland has resigned, in the wake of a State Attorney's investigation into an April 2023 excessive use of force case.Officials announced that Holland, who became the chief in April 2023 after five years as a deputy chief, tendered her resignation Sunday.
