A little St. Cloud girl the News-Gazette profiled in September has passed away. See story for more details.
Nicole Romualdo, who was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a cancer of the body's connective tissues, not long after her parents moved to the area, passed away Friday afternoon at just shy of 17 months old from the disease.
Her funeral service will be open to the public on Saturday at First Baptist Church in Orlando (3000 S. John Young Parkway). Viewing will be from 9:15-10 a.m. and a Celebration of Life will be from 10-11 a.m.
See story on community's birthday parade for Nicole.
Since treatment ate into the family's budget and put Nicole's 1st birthday party in jeopardy, neighbors and friends organized a birthday car parade to show the family support, celebrate Nicole, and give them a bright day during such a tough time on an important day.
