Writers, Hollywood studios reportedly come to 3-year contract agreement

You may get to see some new television content soon.

The Los Angeles Times is reporting the Writers Guild of America and major Hollywood studios have reached a tentative new three-year contract deal that would end a strike that started May 2 and put the fall start of many popular television and streaming service shows on hold at a time they'd be starting new seasons.

It was enough to encourage Mayim Bialik, a part-time host of Jeopardy!, to pause that effort, leaving the lectern to Ken Jennings.

The major contentions of the Guild were pay and industry changes brought on by streaming technology and artificial intelligence.
