Work continues on a State Road 417 expansion project, and that will require the closure of some roads that lead north out of Osceola County that locals may use to get to Orlando and points north.
Those closures, that start this weekend and go into next week, include:
Sunday, through Thursday, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.: Northbound and southbound Narcoossee Road under SR 417, for bridge work. Northbound drivers will be directed to travel on SR 417 to Moss Park Road (Exit 23) and follow the detour signs. Southbound drivers will be directed to travel on SR 417 to Lake Nona Boulevard (Exit 19) and follow the detour signs.
Sunday and Monday, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.: The northbound and southbound ramps from Florida’s Turnpike to northbound SR 417 (Exit 251), for ramp work. Drivers will be directed to travel southbound on SR 417 to US 441/South Orange Blossom Trail (Exit 11) and follow the detour signs.
Tuesday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.: The Landstar Boulevard ramp to northbound SR 417, for road work. Drivers will be directed to travel southbound on SR 417 to US 441/South Orange Blossom Trail (Exit 11) and follow the detour signs.
Tuesday through Thursday, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.: The ramps from Boggy Creek Road and Jeff Fuqua Boulevard to northbound SR 417, for road work. Drivers will be directed to take Lake Nona Boulevard and follow the detour signs to the entrance ramp there.
