The Osceola County Sheriff's Office reports a motorcyclist fatally shot himself Tuesday afternoon after deputies attempt a traffic stop.
The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. near the intersection of Orange Blossom Trail and Avenue A between Poinciana Boulevard and Intercession City. Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a motorcycle carrying a male operator and a female passenger. Deputies say the male fled the attempted traffic stop on foot and traveled into a near-by trailer park.
He was reportedly located under a trailer off Okaloosa Avenue. Reports say deputies later heard a gunshot and located the male with a self-inflicted gun shot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Deputies are still investigating, the Sheriff's Office said.
