Sheriff’s Office makes arrest in Saturday shooting

A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Kissimmee on Saturday.

Fausto Toribio is being held in the Osceola County Jail on no bond.

Police responded to a call at the Simpson Ridge Apartments on Simpson Road, less than a mile south of the Osceola County Jail, on Saturday around 5:30 p.m. Deputies said a physical altercation between two subjects ended in a shooting. The victim was shot multiple times and was transported to the hospital. Toribio, the suspected shooter, was arrested. A traffic ticket he received in May shows a Simpson Ridge address for him.

While the identity or the condition of the victim has not been released, and a press release from the Sheriff’s Office said Toribio was charged with aggravated battery and attempted murder, court and jail records show he is being held on no bond on a first-degree premeditated murder charge.
