Sheriff's Office: 6 arrested after carjacking a BMW -- including the victims

On Wednesday, three people carjacked three other people inside a brand-new BMW.

All six, eventually, got arrested, the Osceola County Sheriff's Office said.

Aaron Alvarenga, 21, Jerome Lewis, 34,and Justin Carter, 19, have been arrested and charged with armed carjacking, aggravated assault, and grand theft auto.

According to police, three people reported an armed carjacking on Hawk Drive in Kissimmee's Indian Wells community. One victim she he and his friend and girlfriend met with Alvarenga to tour a property they were looking to rent. After touring the residence, police say Alvarenga, along with two black males later identified as Lewis and Carter, and an unidentified female robbed the three victims at gunpoint and stole their BMW. The suspects then fled the scene in the BMW and the vehicle they arrived in, a Dodge Durango.

Using tracking technology, deputies were able to locate the vehicles, and found the three suspects in the Durango; they were apprehended and arrested.

Here's where it goes sideways: during his arrest, Alvarenga reportedly told detectives the victim’s BMW was stolen from a dealership, and the victim had fraudulently purchased the car with false information. Detectives contacted a representative from the BMW dealership, who confirmed the vehicle had been stolen. Further investigation revealed that one of the carjacking victims was involved in making fake IDs and credit cards.

The three victims, after refusing to declare their true identities, were all placed under arrest for providing a false name to Law Enforcement. One of those three was reportedly found smoking a THC vape pen without a prescription. He was placed under arrest for possession of cannabis.

The investigation continues on another exciting day in Osceola County.
