Thanks to three months of rollovers, the jackpot in Saturday's Powerball Drawing has reached $856 million.
The winning numbers will be drawn just before 11 p.m.
No ticket among the 44 states that participate matched all white balls of 14-20-59-60-61 and the red Power ball of 25 in Wednesday's drawing. One ticket in Ohio matched all five of the white balls to claim $1 million. The jackpot was last claimed in the May 2 drawing.
The lump sum cash prize option would be $372 million — before taxes.
Powerball tickets are $2 each, and there's a 1 in 292,201,338 chance of hitting that prize. Again, you must match five white balls and red Powerball.
Powerball drawings occur every week on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
So it begs the question ... Can anybody out there use a few hundred million bucks for Back to School Shopping?
