POLICE NEWS — Man sparks lockdown after fleeing Kissimmee school; men arrested in separate child porn, CSAM cases

St. Petersburg man with active warrants sparks lockdown after fleeing Kissimmee school A man with multiple active warrants who caused a lockdown at a local elementary school last week during morning drop off and fled from deputies has been taken into custody.

Deputies arrested Nathan Reynolds, 33, and charged him with fleeing and eluding law enforcement with wanton disregard for safety; resisting an officer without violence; driving while license suspended with knowledge; reckless driving; failure to stop at a stop sign; and disruption of a school function.

According to an arrest affidavit, the incident occurred around 9 a.m. on April 4 when a Koa Elementary staff member notified the school’s resource officer that Reynolds had arrived to drop off his daughter. The officer confirmed Reynolds’ identity and that he had active warrants in Texas, Pinellas County and Polk County; Reynolds reportedly has also had his driver’s license suspended more than six times since 2017.

According to the arrest report, when the officer approached and informed Reynolds he was under arrest, Reynolds refused to comply, stating he needed to call his wife before turning himself in. He then fled on foot from the school’s front office. As backup deputies arrived, Reynolds ran into the school’s car loop and entered a grey 2022 Jeep Compass with Michigan tags.

An officer attempted to stop Reynolds at gunpoint, fearing he might be reaching for a weapon. Instead, Reynolds sped off, exiting the school parking area recklessly, cutting through medians, parking spaces and narrowly avoiding parked vehicles. Deputies pursued Reynolds north Laurel Avenue, and while he ultimately eluded law enforcement, he was arrested later; no additional details were available.

Due to the active felony warrants and Reynolds’ flight across school grounds, a red lockdown was initiated, temporarily halting normal school operations and raising safety concerns for students and staff.

Court records show Reynolds was stopped on March 28 just after midnight by a deputy in the area of Koa Street and Monterey Road for having an obscured license plate. After being asked to provide his driver’s license, he sped away. Using body-worn camera footage and photo comparison, deputies were able to identify Reynolds as the driver, leading to a warrant being issued.

Two Kissimmee men arrested in separate child porn cases The Florida Department of Law Enforcement announced Thursday that its agents arrested Pedro Dixon Cruz, 32, on April 8 after a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) identified a Kik messaging account uploading CSAM. FDLE agents served a search warrant at Cruz’s home and seized multiple electronic devices. A preliminary forensic analysis revealed files depicting the sexual abuse of prepubescent children, including victims as young as 3 years old. Cruz is charged with possession of child pornography and bond has been set at $25,000.

A day later, Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Dale Miller, 61, after receiving a separate NCMEC cybertip involving a Facebook account linked to Miller, who is a registered sex offender in Florida. The tip stemmed from an April 4 transmission of an illicit image, which Facebook flagged and reported. Investigators traced the activity to an IP address registered to the East U.S. Highway 192 hotel where Miller resides. A search of Miller’s room revealed a mobile phone with an active Telegram account registered under his name. Investigators found at least 10 video files on the device showing graphic child sexual abuse material with some victims as young as infants. Miller’s phone and residence also matched information in his state sex offender registry.

During a recorded interview, Miller admitted to receiving multiple illicit images through the Telegram app, stating that the content was “bad” and that he had tried—but failed—to delete them.

Miller is charged with 10 counts of possessing child pornography and one count of using a two-way communications device in facilitation of a felony. Bond has been set at $252,500.

Kissimmee man arrested in CSAM ring Michael Andrew Warden, 31, was one of seven people charged with conspiracy to commit racketeering (RICO), purchase of child sexual abuse material and unlawful use of a two-way communication device. arrested as part of a The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and Homeland Security investigation into an ongoing international child sexual abuse material (CSAM) crime ring investigation.

“The arrests of these predators are just the beginning. Every image of child abuse leaves a lasting scar on an innocent life, and we will aggressively prosecute these heinous crimes,” said Attorney General James Uthmeier. “It’s disgusting that child sexual abuse material is advertised in plain view on apps such as TikTok, and we will continue fighting to get these major social media companies to do their part in shutting down the spread of this material. I’m grateful for our FDLE partners who uncovered this deviant network and highlighted their sickening actions. Our Statewide Prosecutors will ensure these disgusting criminals face justice.”

The investigation began in July 2024, with an FDLE agent conducting a proactive criminal review of a website known to advertise child sexual abuse material CSAM. The agent uncovered multiple listings from the same seller. FDLE worked with Uthmeier’s Office of Statewide Prosecution and shut the website down, which employed out-of-state “money mules”, within a week. Warden was among those as a CSAM ring “customer”.
