The Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC) announced the winning cover art of its 2025 Watts Savings Project Calendar Contest. Fifth grader Vanellope M. from Lakeview Elementary School submitted her design of a rising sun and an unplugged lamp, alongside her slogan, “Use the sunlight to help you in the darkness,” to illustrate the theme of energy conservation. The calendar is also going to feature art from a dozen other Osceola County students. OUC plans to honor those children, as well as Vanellope, during an awards ceremony next month.
