If your travels will take you north out of Osceola County on John Young Parkway in the overnight hours this week, be prepared for scheduled road and ramp closures at State Road 417.
Among other Central Florida Expressway Authority work along the 417 widening project closures this week, northbound and southbound John Young Parkway under SR 417 will closed Monday through Thursday nights from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for bridge work. Northbound drivers will be directed onto Town Center Boulevard and southbound drivers will be directed onto Town Loop Boulevard. See the detour map in this story.
417 onramps at Boggy Creek Road and to the Beachline Expressway will also periodically close at night this week.
This work has been ongoing, and CFX says it is expected to by completed in late 2023.
