Orlando Health Imaging Centers opens new Kissimmee location
Orlando Health Imaging Centers opened two new locations earlier this month in Orange County and Osceola County. The Osceola one, a 5,678-square-foot facility at 1210 E. Osceola Parkway, is across from Orlando Health Emergency Room – Osceola.
Patients can make appointments at both locations for a CT scan, PET scan, mammogram, ultrasound or bone density scan with an option for a trabecular bone score. A 3T MRI — the gold standard of imaging technology — is available at each location. The 3T MRI system handles virtually any MRI application, including routine brain scans, spine and orthopedic studies, plus specialized vascular and cardiac applications.
“We are proud to expand our signature, excellent healthcare services with these new facilities,” said Yesenia Mosher, senior director, Orlando Health Imaging Centers. “Patients can expect detailed scans and precise results.”
Orlando Health Imaging Centers are fully integrated with all Orlando Health hospitals, departments and physicians. This ensures a patient’s scan results can be seen quickly by their referring physician within the Orlando Health system.

OUC receives FMEA Safety Award
For the 21st consecutive year, OUC—The Reliable One’s commitment to safety has been recognized with a Florida Municipal Electric Association (FMEA) Safety Award.
Electric linework is one of the country’s top 10 most dangerous professions. Florida lineworkers and power crews place themselves at risk of receiving serious or fatal injuries while providing affordable and reliable power.
“At OUC, safety is one of our core values and is woven into everything we do. Our top priority is making sure our employees return home safely every day to their families,” said Latisha Thompson, OUC’s Chief Employee Experience Officer. “This includes ensuring our employees have access to continuous safety training and mental health resources.”
FMEA member utilities are placed in categories based on total annual worker-hours and rewarded for the most incident-free records as defined by the Operational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The incidence rate used to judge utilities was based on the number of work-related reportable injuries or illnesses compared to the total.
