Kissimmee Utility Authority President and General Manager Brian Horton has been elected secretary/treasurer of the Florida Reliability Coordinating Council’s (FRCC) Board of Directors.
The FRCC is comprised of top-level executive members elected within six sectors and directed by a stakeholder Board of Directors. The council’s mission is to coordinate a safe, reliable, and secure bulk power system in Florida.
“I am honored to be a part of this council and look forward to ensuring the reliability and security of Florida’s bulk power system,” said Horton, who has been CEO of KUA since April 2019. “I am confident that our board will continue to take the necessary steps to strengthen grid resiliency and support the future growth of energy infrastructure across the state.”
