Electronics Technician 3rd Class Joseph L. Ramos Nuñez, a native of Kissimmee, is currently conducting radar maintenance aloft aboard Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson. Per the U.S. Navy, the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability through alliances and partnerships while serving as a ready-response force in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
LOCALS EARN COLLEGE HONORS
Mauricio A Hernandez De Santis, an Exercise Science major from Kissimmee, was one of 257 Bethany College (Lindsborg, Kan.) students named to the Honor Roll for their academic performance during the Fall 2021 semester. To qualify, students must be enrolled full-time and earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 and above.
Abigail Johnson, a Political Science major from St. Cloud, has been named to the Plymouth State (N.H.) University President’s List for the Fall 2021 semester . A student must achieve a grade point average of 3.7 or better for the Fall 2021 semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester to qualify.
Kaylee Villanueva Santos of Kissimmee was recognized on Slippery Rock University’s Dean’s List for the fall 2021 semester. The dean’s list consists of SRU undergraduate students who earned an adjusted semester grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, based on a schedule of at least 12 newly attempted and earned credits.
Jordan Green of Kissimmee is one of 428 students at Shenandoah (Va.) University who made the President’s List for the Fall 2021 semester. Students who achieved this prestigious academic recognition attained a grade point average of at least 3.90.
Angel Thompson, a Sophomore Criminal Justice major from Kissimmee, was among approximately 820 Bob Jones University (Greenville, S.C.) students named to the Fall 2021 Dean’s List, recognizing students who earn a 3.00-3.74 grade point average during the semester.
