A 21-year-old Kissimmee man was killed Wednesday when his motorcycle struck a stopped car on Simpson Road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Per an FHP release, at around 4:45 p.m., the motorcyclist was headed southbound on Simpson near Marisol Loop, just north of Fortune Road, when it struck the rear of a stopped Mitsubishi Outlander driven by an 82-year-old Kissimmee man. The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike. Both drivers were transported to HCA Florida Osceola Hospital, where the cyclist was pronounced deceased. The other driver was treated for minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
