A 44-year-old Kissimmee man was killed riding a motorcycle Friday night when he crash into the side of a van that had turned into his path, Florida Highway Patrol reports.
It happened at 8:12 p.m. at the corner of Buenaventura Boulevard at Majors Lane. According to FHP's crash report, witnesses said the motorcyclist was traveling northbound at a high rate of speed without headlights on, and the van, driver by a 39-year-old Kissimmee man, began to turn left onto Buenaventura off Majors, into the path of the motorcycle, which struck the left side of the van.
The rider was pronounced deceased on scene.
The investigation closed the intersection well into the night.
