The Osceola County Sheriff ’s Office has made an arrest in an early Tuesday shooting on the west side of the county.
Raul Perez, 53, was arrested later in the day Tuesday and charged with attempted murder. He was booked into the Osceola County Jail with no bond.
The shooting remains under investigation. According to police, deputies responded to the Extended Day Suites on West U.S. Highway 192 near Sherberth Road just before 5 a.m. Tuesday and found a male with a gunshot wound. As of the last update, the victim remains in critical condition at HCA Florida Osceola Hospital.
Deputies are interviewing an adult male in reference to this incident.
“The scene is secure and there is no immediate threat to the community,” a Sheriff’s spokesperson said.
