Osceola County Sheriff's detectives say they've arrested a Kissimmee man for possessing videos and photos that were child pornographic material.
Joel Quiles-Rodriguez, 27, was arrested Thursday and charged with 20 counts of possession of photo/video of sexual performance by a child. The Sheriff's Office reported he was booked into the Osceola County Jail on a $50,000 bond, but jail records show he posted it and was no longer in jail as of early Friday evening.
The Sheriff’s Office reported Friday it was notified by the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) of an incident regarding child sexual abuse photographs and videos, linking to a Kissimmee IP address. Detectives with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit began an investigation, and served a search warrant Monday at Quiles-Rodriguez's Simpson Ridge Circle home, where detectives located multiple videos and photos of young children being sexually abused.
Based on evidence obtained during this investigation, Mr. Quiles-Rodriguez was arrested, Sheriff's officials said.
