A Kissimmee man was arrested Thursday as investigators shared a familiar story of late — receiving a tip from a national database of an individual possessing child sexual abuse material.
Mahkyle Ferreiras, who turned 18 on Jan. 2, was arrested and charged with four counts of possession of photos or video of sexual performance by a child and unlawful use of a two-way communication device. Ferreiras is held int the Osceola County Jail on no bond, and he made an initial appearance before a judge Friday.
According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, it was notified by the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) of a Cyber Tip involving an individual possessing child sexual abuse material between October and December 2025. Upon receipt of the tip, detectives with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit began an investigation, and identified Ferreiras as a suspect.
According to an arrest affidavit released Friday, detectives located online chats of Ferreiras soliciting other online users for child sexual abuse material via Discord. On Thursday, ICAC detectives served a residential search warrant at a residence located in the Eagle Bay Community off of Simpson Road, where Ferreiras lives with his parents, brother and twin sisters and where investigators traced a digital IP address regarding this incident.
