The city of Kissimmee Commission approved on Tuesday to donate $4,000 to assist the Osceola High School Kowboys to travel and compete in the state championship this Saturday in Tallahassee.
“Tonight’s action by the commission to help support the Kowboys was an opportunity for the city to show its support for its hometown team,” said Mayor Olga Gonzalez. “We’re proud of the hard work by the team and the hard work by the coaching staff during the season, and we look forward to them bringing home the trophy.”
The Osceola Kowboys’ has approximately 60 boys on the roster who will be traveling to the state capital for the Florida High School Athletic Association’s (FHSAA) Class 8A state championship. The Kowboys will fight for the title against Seminole High School.
