Hope Partnership, a prominent advocate in addressing poverty and homelessness in Osceola County and the region, was one of two Osceola County entities (with Osceola Community Health Services), was one of 18 local organizations selected as a recipient of a 2024 Orlando Health Community Grant.
The $25,000 received will be used to bolster its Hope Cares Day initiatives, an outreach program focusing on individuals currently experiencing poverty and homelessness.
Hope Cares Day is part of Hope Cares, a division of Hope Partnership that helps provide showers, meals, ID services, and access to health care for those experiencing homelessness on a weekly basis. Beyond addressing immediate needs, the program takes preventative measures to help alleviate some of the root causes of homelessness.
“We are excited and grateful for the generous support from Orlando Health,” said Rev. Mary Downey, Chief Executive Officer at Hope Partnership. “This grant empowers our Hope Cares Day initiatives to reach even more individuals, ensuring that we can continue making a tangible difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness.”
The $25,000 grant was officially announced at a ceremony at Exploria Stadium last. As part of the celebration, Orlando Health presented recipients with their checks and told impactful stories about each organization. Hope Partnership, among the other grant recipients, was celebrated for its innovative and transformative work.
