The Florida Highway Patrol reports a bicyclist was struck and killed on near Kissimmee Park Road and Lake Tohopekaliga Road in St. Cloud when he was bit by a pickup truck early Tuesday morning.
Per the FHP report, the crash occurred just before 6:30 a.m., when a pickup driven by a St. Cloud man clipped the bicycle while traveling east on Kissimmee Park Road, just west of Florida's Turnpike. The bicyclist, who is unknown at the time as he was not carrying identification, was ejected onto the shoulder. He was transported to HCA Florida Healthcare Osceola where he was pronounced deceased.
The FHP report said the cyclist was wearing a helmet, but the bicycle did not have any lights. FHP continues to investigate the crash.
