A 56-year-old Orlando motorcyclist was killed and two others in another car were injured Saturday afternoon when Florida Highway Patrol troopers say their car turned into the path of the motorcycle.
According to the crash report, the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on north Poinciana Boulevard near Calypso Cay Way just after 3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon. A Toyota Corolla, driven by a 64-year-old man from Miramar in South Florida, attempted to make a left turn onto Calypso Cay, and entered into the direct travel path of the motorcycle and struck it with the front of the Toyota. Its driver was not injured, but two passengers in the Toyota sustained minor injuries.
The motorcyclist was transported to HCA Florida Osceola Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The crash remains under further investigation, FHP officials said.
