A 63-year-old Kissimmee woman was killed Thursday night as she crossed Narcoossee Road into the path of an oncoming vehicle near Jones Road, Florida Highway Patrol reports.
The incident happened around 9:15 p.m. Troopers said the woman was running across Narcoossee south of Jones, not in a marked crosswalk, and was struck by a St. Cloud woman driving a Honda Civic. The report said the driver stated she attempted to avoid the pedestrian but was unsuccessful and the Civic's left side collided with the victim.
FHP reports the pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene.
