A section of Church Street in downtown Kissimmee will be closed between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily for improvement work.
According to the city of Kissimmee website, the Church Street Improvement Project will enhance Church Street's entire length.
The project will consist of roadway resurfacing, sidewalk construction and enhancement, curb and gutter improvements, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) enhancements, intersection and pedestrian safety improvements and drainage improvements.
Parking on Church Street will also be adjusted from the back-in angled parking to front-in angled parking.
Work is projected to be completed by the summer of 2021. This project is funded by the city using revenue from the CRA and sales tax funds.
Church Street from Dakin Avenue to Mabbette Street will be closed between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily.
