A 37-year-old Davenport man was killed when another driver turned into the path of his motorcycle on Old Lake Wilson Road Tuesday afternoon, Florida Highway Patrol reports.
According to the FHP crash affidavit, the incident occurred just after 5 p.m. Troopers say the motorcyclist aboard a 2025 Zhilong motorcycle was traveling southbound in the right turn lane for Sinclair Road. At the same time, a Dodge Ram driven by a 22-year-old man Eustis man hauling a trailer was turning left on Sinclair from the northbound lanes. As the Dodge began executing the left turn, the motorcyclist continued straight through the intersection from the right turn lane, entering the direct path of the Ram, and they collided.
The rider of the motorcycle sustained was transported to AdventHealth Celebration, where he were pronounced deceased. The driver of the Dodge Ram was not injured, remained at the scene, and was not transported, the report said.
Authorities say the incident remains under active investigation.
