The Osceola County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man it says shot multiple people at a home just east of Orange Blossom Trail late Saturday night as detectives continue to investigate.
Marlon Zetino, 55, was arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail, where he remains held on two counts of attempted murder and discharging a firearm in public.
According to police, deputies reported to the area of Carter Drive in the Sun Friendly Community Village around 11:20 p.m. for a reported shooting, and found a 31-year-old male who had been struck multiple times by gunfire. Deputies later learned that a 27-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds had been transported to the hospital by family members. Reports say some type of verbal altercation occurred just prior to the shootings.
Deputies reported finding a 55-year-old male, later identified as Zetino, at a nearby residence, and detectives determined he was the suspect in the shootings of the two men, who investigators say are brothers. Both victims remain in critical condition at HCA FLorida Osceola Hospital, the Sheriff's Office reports.
This investigation is ongoing and anyone with further information about this incident is asked to contact Crimeline (800-423-TIPS) or The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office (407-348-2222).
Osceola County court records show Zetino was previously arrested in 2011 for assault with a deadly weapon and in 2003 for aggravated battery and false in imprisonment, but in both cases the charges were not prosecuted.
