65th Infantry Veterans Park in Buenaventura Lakes will host a COVID-19 vaccination site beginning Thursday (March 25).
“This site is vital to ensure more Osceola residents get vaccinated,” said Osceola Commissioner Viviana Janer. “This location makes access easier for our BVL community and I hope residents take full advantage, especially members of our Hispanic community. Statistics show that Hispanics in Osceola are about half as likely to have been vaccinated and we must do better if we to make progress against the virus.”
Thursday’s weather is expected to be considerably warmer, into the 90s, so anyone attending the event is urged to consider adequate hydration, proper attire, sunscreen, hats and/or umbrellas.
Establishing over 13,000 COVID-19 nationwide testing sites, deploying flu vaccines in the fall of 2020 and distributing some of the earliest doses of COVID-19 vaccine, Curative has rolled out vaccine deployment across the country. To date, Curative has vaccinated over half a million people using vans, drive-throughs and popup sites.
