417/Turnpike ramp closures after midnight Wednesday

    If your travels take you to the State Road 417/Florida's Turnpike interchange after midnight Tuesday into Wednesday, be aware of road and ramp closures in conjunction with a 417 widening project.

    Here's the details:

    • From 12 a.m. to 1:15 a.m.: Southbound SR 417 ramps to Florida’s Turnpike (Exit 12), for bridge work. Drivers will be directed to exit at Orange Blossom Trail (Exit 11) and follow the detour signs.
    • From 1:15 a.m. to 2:30 a.m.: Southbound Florida’s Turnpike under SR 417, for bridge work. Drivers will be directed onto southbound SR 417 and follow the detour signs.
    • From 2:30 a.m. to 3:45 a.m.: Northbound Florida’s Turnpike under SR 417, for bridge work. Drivers will be directed onto northbound SR 417 and follow the detour signs.
    • From 3:45 a.m. to 5 a.m.: Northbound SR 417 ramps to Florida’s Turnpike (Exit 12), for bridge work. Drivers will be directed to exit at Landstar Boulevard (Exit 14) and follow the detour signs.

    This work is for a capacity improvements project on SR 417 from John Young Parkway to Landstar Boulevard, which started in March 2021 and is expected to be complete in November 2023.
