The Osceola Council on Aging held a virtual Golden Anniversary brunch celebration Oct. 7, complete with meals from Big John’s Rockin BBQ. Over $10,000 was raised through about 225 prepared meals of chicken and waffles — many delivered to sponsors and Meals on Wheels clients as pictured. Money raised will be used to provide over 1,000 meals to its Meals on Wheels Osceola clients throughout the community.
During the virtual celebration, OCOA shared all the ways it serves those in Osceola County who need its help through programs like Meals on Wheels, housing and utility assistance, home weatherization and accessibility, home care and adult day health care, transportation and more.
