NeoCity Way Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony for NeoCity Way was held this morning at 9 a.m. in Kissimmee, Florida. Brandon Arrington, County Commission Chairman and Cheryl Grieb, County Commissioner, District 3 were the speakers.

NeoCity Way is the transportation cornerstone of Osceola County’s emerging technology district, paving a new path to high-paying jobs and economic diversification in the region. The 2.1-mile long roadway was partially financed with a $5.8 million grant from the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity. It provides NeoCity with a main thoroughfare linking the technology hub to U.S. Highway 192 at Denn John Lane at one end, and to U.S. 192 and Bill Beck Boulevard at the other. Features include a divided and landscaped median, a grade-separated 12-foot Veloway dedicated to bicyclists and roller-bladers, and two 10-foot wide sidewalks.
