The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has scheduled a number of ramp closures during upcoming overnight hours as part of construction for the Moving I-4 Forward expansion program.
Nightly closures will occur at interchanges in Osceola County. Here's the details:
I-4 East to 192 West
May 18-19, 12-5 a.m.
Detour: take Exit 65 toward Osceola Parkway/Animal Kingdom, then exit toward Disney World to access Osceola Parkway westbound. Continue on Osceola Parkway for approximately 2.2 miles, then exit toward I-4 and U.S. 192 to access World Drive southbound, then take the exit to U.S. 192 west toward U.S. 27.
I-4 East to 417 and World Drive northbound
May 18-20 from 12-5 a.m.
As the World Drive southbound exit toward Celebration will still be open, drivers can access 417 North through Celebration Avenue.
ChampionsGate Boulevard under I-4
May 19-21, 10 p.m. to 5 p.m.
May 31-June 5, 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
Drivers will use eastbound County Road 532, Lake Wilson Road, Ronald Reagan Parkway and Goodman Road to go from I-4 East to 532 West into ChampionsGate.
I-4 West to State Road 429
May 24-28, 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Drivers will pass 429 and take Exit 58 (C.R. 532), make two lefts to get on I-4 East to access 429.
I-4 East to Osceola Parkway
May 26-27, 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Exit prior to Osceola Parkway at U.S. 192 East, then left in 1 mile at International Drive to Osceola Parkway.
Remember to be alert for changing conditions in these areas ... and that it will eventually get better with expanded roads!
