A Beyond the Call of Duty’s ‘Ride to Remember’ event in Osceola County Thursday for an “End of Watch Ride” tribute ceremony at the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office honored fallen Osceola Deputy Michael Riley Webb.
The purpose of Beyond the Call of Duty is to make it known that the officer and the families or the officer are never forgotten. According to their website they also support department safety and training to help lower the number of fallen officers we see each year.
“We appreciate you Mr. Webb, and we appreciate your son’s sacrifice,” Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez said to the gathered crowd and Webb’s family.
“We celebrate Deputy Webb and all men and women in law enforcement who have taken this passage this past year. The End of Watch Ride will help honor Deputy Webb by keeping his memory alive, to remind us to never forget and to help his family heal.”
The End of Watch Ride left for Orange County after the Osceola memorial.
