The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is scheduled to temporarily close all lanes of eastbound Interstate 4 between the World Drive and U.S. 192 interchanges in Osceola County overnight from 12-5 a.m. through Friday, May 8. The ramps to I-4 eastbound and State Road 417 northbound from World Drive will also be closed.
To detour, take Exit 62 (Disney World/Celebration) and exit to World Drive northbound. It will end at U.S. Highway 192; turn right, then take the I-4 East ramp in the left lane to return to the interstate.
To access 417, either take World Drive north to 192 to the Celebration Avenue 417 onramp, or take World Drive south to Celebration Boulevard. Turn left, then right on Celebration Avenue to get to the onramp.
FDOT says motorists will encounter lane closures beginning at 10 a.m. the night before as crews prepare to close the eastbound lanes. Crews will perform overhead sign removal during the closures.
