Things will get more streamlined for the development community when Toho Water Authority's Development Portal launches this Monday, Jan. 22.
The portal will be a one-stop shop for developers working with Toho. By registering on the portal, users will have full access to its services. The portal can be accessed through tohowater.com's Developer button.
“We’re really excited about the launch of this portal,” said Toho Construction Inspection and Private Development Manager Ray Biron. “The portal will house an array of services our development community can use to make their requests and submissions.”
One of the portal’s key features is the Application Assistant. Users will be able to access:
- Project application and process (plan submissions)
- Utility permits (if certification of occupancy is needed)
- Meter requests
- Large meter account activation
Flushing device meter requests
Failed meter resets will no longer need to be requested. Fees will be automatically charged to escrow accounts and invoiced to non-escrow accounts to be paid via the portal. Once paid, the meter will be scheduled for installation.
Once requests are submitted, users can see the statuses of their requests in the My Dashboard feature which really improves the user experience. This page will inform you when an inspection can be requested or any pending items that need follow-up. Any due invoices will also appear on the page to be paid.
The portal’s personalized calendar can also inform users about:
- Upcoming meetings and hearings
- Scheduled inspections
- Expired permits and plans
- Due invoices
“It’s been a year in the making with various departments involved in its success,” said Biron. “Our aim being to provide improved efficiency for our development community and Toho.”
