The work for the capacity improvements project between Ronald Reagan Parkway and Cypress Parkway is expected to be completed in summer 2023.
And, has been done the past few weeks, starting at 10 p.m. and going into each overnight through Thursday, ramp closures with the State Road 417 widening project around Florida's Turnpike an Narcoossee Roade will force some ramp closures.
- Sunday night into Thursday morning, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night, Narcoossee Road under SR 417 will be closed for bridge work. Traffic headed north on Narcoossee should go onto 417 North to Moss Park Road (the next exit, tolls will be suspended for the detour) and follow detour signs back to Narcoossee.
- From10 a.m. to 5 a.m. The southbound and northbound SR 417 ramps to Florida’s Turnpike (Exit 12) will be closed. Again, go to the next exit (if headed south on 417, OBT; if headed north, Landstar Boulevard), exit and turn around. These will not happen concurrently, to allow drivers to get on the Turnpike from at least one direction at all times.
The work to add lanes and capacity to 417 from International Drive to State Road 528 is expected to be complete by spring 2024; it started in early 2021. If you have any questions, contact the Central Florida Expressway Authority at 352-427-4054 or Construction@CFXway.com.
