The 116th Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony at Mount Peace Cemetery takes place on Monday, May 25 at 10 a.m. Hosted by the City of St. Cloud, join in on honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service of our nation’s freedom.
Soldier City Market, formerly known as Soldier City Sunday, is getting a fresh face. Soldier City’s Markets are taking place the second and fourth Saturday of each month. The next Market will take place this Saturday, May 23rd from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Veterans Park, 1201 13th St. There will be local vendors, live entertainment and Veteran’s resources.
Hopkins Heroes has created weekly ice cream parties for the campers at Hopkins Park. Kissimmee Valley Seed, 215 13th St. is presenting a Fur-Tastic Summer Fest on Saturday, May 30th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be plenty of doggy activities to keep the pups cooled off. E.S.O.L. for Beginners takes place at the St. Cloud Library on Friday, May 22 from 10-11:30 a.m. This class allows non-English speakers to become more familiar with the language. E.S.O.L. Conversation Hour follows from 12 to 1:30 p.m. This class
is for those that have some knowledge of the English language. Zumbini happens at the Library on Wednesday, May 27 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. This class is for children up to age 4 with adult participation and dancing is required. Sing, dance and play together while developing your little ones social, cognitive, emotional and motor skills.
Adults are invited to the St. Cloud Writers Group on the 27th from 6-7:30 p.m. Build a consistent writing practice while sharpening your creativity and revisions skills while receiving supportive feedback from fellow writers. This class is led by local author and educator Fanny Gerloven Chico.
