ST. CLOUD NEWS — Starting the Easter season this weekend

Hopkins Heroes’ 3rd Annual Easter Egg Extravaganza takes place this Saturday, March 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hopkins Park. Hop on over for a free day of family fun. There will be games, raffles, arts and crafts, music and an egg hunt (also included a special needs egg hunt).

That same morning, check out St. Cloud Police Department presents Community Day on from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 3101 Progress Lane. This fun, informative and family-friendly community event is open to all. There will be interactive demonstrations from S.W.A.T., K-9, drones and other specialty units, games, activities and more.
Frost Fest Art Competition also takes place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1021 Pennsylvania Ave. This live painting art competition features live music, classic cars, food trucks and a kid zone.

The next Soldier City Sunday Community Market takes place on Sunday, March 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Veterans Park, 1201 13th St. This community market and Veteran’s resource event now takes place on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month.
The Market features local vendors, crafters and food trucks, family-friendly activities and games, live entertainment and music. In addition, Veteran’s resources and organizations will be onsite.

Water Lantern Festival is an experience where family, friends and strangers celebrate life together. This festival brings together all ages, backgrounds and walks of life to join in one emotional and memorable night – whether you’re writing down your hopes and dreams or sharing a message to a loved one. The next Downtown Monthly Market takes place on Wednesday, March 25 from 5- 9 p.m. String lights twinkle overhead with makers and bakers and music filling the air at this community celebration. The Monthly Market is always the last Wednesday of the month, rain or shine.

Why should the kids have all the fun? Adult Moonlight Egg Hunt (ages 21+) takes place on Friday, March 27 from 7-10 p.m. at The Ranch at St. Cloud (5452 Jones Road). Enjoy music, dancing, games, vendors, food trucks, prizes and a glowing egg hunt under the stars. The VFW will host a 50/50 raffle. Bring a flashlight! Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Spring Fest takes place on Saturday, March 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ranch, 5452 Jones Rd. This family-friendly event features bounce houses, crafts, games, egg hunts for children (ages 2 to 12) and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Admission is $15 in advance and $20 at the event. The 12th Annual Kenansville Swamp Cabbage Festival takes place on Saturday, March 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1180 S. Canoe Creek Rd. (the old schoolhouse).
